England Championship – Wigan vs Ipswich 22/09/2014

English championship

Wigan last news:

Nothing seems to change especially in away matches where they have many problems in the beginning. Yet another modest appearance in the 0-0 against Huddersfield (at least they took their first point in away match for the season) in a match in which Wigan had insipid ball possession and were ineffective in the few chances created.

Coach Uwe Rosler was furious with the referee Stockbridge, from who he asked three penalties: one for Mc Manaman’s overthrow in the first half, and two in the second one!

In view of the current match, the German coach asked from his players except from winning and a good appearance. “Always the evening games are separate. It is understood that the first thing in our minds is victory. However, in front of the cameras and our fans, we are obliged to do a good appearance too “said Rosler.

Ipswich last news:

The most … silent group of the Championship! With two consecutive home wins they climbed in the first half of the table and got psychology for the continuity.

It was a hard match against Brighton. They had a shoot at the post in the first half while the opponent responded with some good moments. In the 79′ they scored 1-0 with a goal from Parr. In the 88′ they “finished” the match in a counterattack with a nice long shot from Murphy.

In away matches Ipswich remain without a win for five consecutive games (0 wins-2 draws-3 losses), whilst if they win today they will reach 14 points and they’ll be one point far from the top six.
